With the release of their 1st and 2nd singles, mikimai's artist channel has been launched on YouTube.

(This channel has been integrated with the YouTube channel where demo tracks were previously released in 2025. Also, as of August 5, 2026, the demo tracks are not publicly available in preparation for future releases.)

A songwriter based in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, and the lead artist of Soundrest. Having discovered band and club music in her teens, she became passionate about music and enrolled in Osaka School of Music in 2005. Having suffered from a respiratory illness since childhood, she didn't initially aspire to be a singer, but during her entrance interview, she was advised to choose a debut-oriented course and selected the singer-songwriter course, which marked the beginning of her creative activities, including lyric writing and music composition. After graduation, she did not enter the music industry, instead developing a unique career as an event MC, advertising model, and live streamer. Since 2025, she has resumed music production, refining previously unreleased works created during her time at the school. She utilizes AI technology in the process of expression and arrangement, including vocal selection based on the worldview of her lyrics, track making, and art direction. Her work is characterized by a production style that transcends musical genres and gender, and lyrics with strong messages.
